Trampoline parks may cause more severe trauma than at home trampoline useROSEMONT, Ill. (January 22, 2019)—According to new research published in the January 1, 2019 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, trampoline parks and jump parks have been linked to a higher percentage of total fractures among pediatric and adult patients, including lower extremity fractures, fractures in adults, open fractures and surgical fractures when compared with home trampolines. American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons announces the launch of its Shoulder and Elbow RegistryROSEMONT, Ill. (October 24, 2018)—The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) announced the launch of its Shoulder and Elbow Registry (SER) to begin collecting data on total shoulder and elbow procedures in the United States. At launch, the SER will collect total shoulder arthroplasty procedures data. In 2019, the registry also will have the capability to capture rotator cuff repair and total elbow arthroplasty procedures data. (more) |
