Metal on Metal Hip Replacements

The safety of every orthopaedic patient is always our number one concern.  The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons welcomes the publication of updated evidence and we will continue to work with the FDA to provide further advice as new information and evidence become available.

The AAOS will continue to work with device makers and agencies such as the FDA to share knowledge and communicate any potential concerns about any hip replacement components.
