Call for Nominations
Since 2000, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) has recognized living Fellows, International, and Emeritus members of the Academy who have distinguished themselves through outstanding musculoskeletal-related humanitarian activities in the United States or abroad with the Humanitarian Award. This award also honors those orthopaedic surgeons who help to improve the human condition by alleviating suffering and supporting and contributing to the basic human dignity of those in need. To date, 16 members of the Academy have been honored with this award for their orthopaedic-related humanitarian work around the globe.
Completed sponsor/candidate forms must be submitted online at aaos.org/awards no later than Friday, June 14, 2013.
The 2014 Humanitarian Award will be presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ 2014 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, La., on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
Sponsors are not required to be a member of the AAOS; however, award nominees must be a living Fellow, International, or Emeritus member of the Academy.
